Classroom Auction Baskets
Our CMS annual Fundraising auction scheduled for Saturday May 11th is quickly approaching and we are excited to begin our call for classroom basket donations.
The Classroom Baskets campaign is a fun and easy way for families to get involved by helping support CMS, and earn some parent participation hours. We are asking families to make a contribution to their child’s classroom basket. All donations will be used to create themed baskets which will be auction at our CMS Auction event. Each classroom has a theme for their basket.
Classroom Basket Themes:
Dragonflies – Game Night
Ladybugs – Gardening
Bumblebees – Beach Day
Eagles – Family Night / Movie Night
Owls – Adventure (Fishing/ Camping/ Hiking)
Our goal is to collect $200- $500 of items, money or gift card donations to create 1-3 classroom baskets for each themes. All donations for the classroom basket can be dropped off in the office or with your classroom teacher. Please put your name on the item donation and include a receipt so we can keep track of all our wonderful family donors. Donations can also count as service hours, $20 donation = 1 service hour. If you are looking to get involved we also need a basket coordinator for each classroom. The basket coordinator will create list of additional basket suggestions for classroom theme, keep track of items received, create a spreadsheet of items w/ values, email updates to families, and help ensure each basket is ready for our auction. Basket coordinators can earn between 3-7 service hours (limited opportunities, please email Jose Bolanos if interested).
Classroom basket donations can be sent with your child to school and given to their classroom teacher. Please turn in all basket donations by April 19th.
If you have any questions or would like to help as a classroom basket coordinator, please contact Jose at joseb@countrymontessori.org.

Procurement & Donations:
The success of our event depends on the quality of items we have to auction, and your role is incredibly important to making this happen. Assisting with donation procurement is a fun and easy way to earn service hours on your schedule and help support our fundraising efforts. There are lots of creative ways to procure items.
If you are out in the community and have an opportunity to ask for an auction donation, please do! Many local businesses, especially the larger ones (think hotels, B&B’s, restaurants, etc.) have policies that they’ll only donation to fundraisers for organizations in the communities they serve. So, for example, if you are out to dinner at a restaurant you frequent, consider speaking to the manager and asking if they would donate a gift card to support the CMS auction event.
Once you procure an item, please bring it to the CMS office. Even if you don’t physically have the item, or if the item is an intangible experience (like a certificate for a stay), please fill out the Auction Procurement Form and turn it into the office so that we can track and account for it.
Our procurement deadline is Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Ask us for ideas; ask us for help, and thank you for your support.
So much of what we do at CMS is only made possible through the hard work and dedication of all our amazing CMS families. Thank you for your participation. We look forward to a great event!
Front Gate
Currently we are using the code (1,2,3,4 #). Our system is set up with alerts so that when the gate is opened without using a key code or the exit button the security camera snaps a photo and sends an alert message to our system.
Our goal is for the keypad and exit buttons to be used so that these alerts/ snapshots serve as safety messages for anytime the gate is opened without authorization.
We appreciate your assistance as we continue build upon our school’s security features. Please help promote school safety by using the entry code and exit button.
Cheers,
The CMS Family
