SCHOOL REMINDERS

New 2024-2025 Calendar
Due to scheduling conflicts we made an update to the Dragonflies Father’s Night and Mother’s Night dates.

Montessori Journey – September 6th – New Families Only
The Montessori Journey is Friday, September 6th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. This event allows new parents to experience what it is like to work with the materials that the students use from the Early Childhood through 5th level. Complimentary Child Care for CMS students will be available.

Safety Guidelines in the Parking Lot
Our priority is safety and it takes all of us to work together. When dropping off or picking up your student, please do not reverse or pass other cars, we appreciate your support.

New Families – Set Up FACTSMgt (RenWeb) Access
All new families need to sign up for their FACTSMgt (RenWeb Parent Portal) access. Please use the following link; click here. You will select Create New Family Portal Account. Enter your email address, and the district code is CO-CA

Once you create your family portal account, you can see the school directory and access the RenWeb portal, where you will find report cards and other relevant school information.

Lunches – Luna Grill Tuesdays & Pizza Hut Fridays!
We are excited to announce that we will be offering student – lunches starting the week of September 9th! Tuesdays will be from Luna Grill & on Friday’s, Pizza Hut!

You will need to go into RenWeb to place your order. Please note that you are signing up for September – December! You will only need to order lunch one time!

Deadline to order lunches: Thursday September 5th.

Directions to Order Lunch from Parents Web:
• Sign into ParentsWeb
• From home page select Student from the drop box
• Select Lunch
• Click Lunch Menu & Ordering
• List of lunch options will display starting on 8/27 (this is to allow for pre-ordering; lunches begin on Sept. 9th and go through Dec).
• Click on the top of the page +Create Web Order
• Select the lunch you want by inputting 1 for quantity for the week you want to start
• The bottom of the page will show the total for all lunch items ordered (2 days)
• Once all your lunch selections are made, click Order Items. It will then say “Lunch Orders Created”. That will be your confirmation!
• Lunches must be ordered a minimum of 2 days prior to the start date. This is to ensure that we have time to process the order and submit orders to the vendors. First Luna Grill lunch starts on Tuesday, 9/10.
• The daily lunch menu is listed across multiple weeks. ONLY add a single item on a single week to sign up. Lunch orders are set for September 9th through Dec. Days not in school are taken into account (for example; Parent Teacher Conferences, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving week)
• You will only need to order lunches ONE TIME for it to last through the end of the year for Tuesday and/or Friday’s!
• Billing will be done in Renweb. To pay Renweb balances, you will receive a statement that can be paid by bringing a check or scheduled ACH.
Tuesday – Luna Grill – 14 weeks – Lunches are $8.50each ($119 total)
Chicken Kabob w/ pita bread with basmati rice or house salad
Pita Melt w/ basmati rice or house salad
Gyros w/ pita bread with basmati rice or house salad
Chilled Chicken Wrap with Rice & Hummus with a side of carrots

Friday – Pizza Hut – 12 weeks – Half ($3.50 each)/$42 total or Full ($7 each)/$84 total
Half or Full personal size: Cheese Pizza or Pepperoni Pizza

After School Classes
CMS after school classes will be starting the week of September 11th. If you are interested, please review each flier for more information! To register, you can bring a check or Venmo (if available) to the specific teacher listed on the flier. Please turn in the form to the teacher/office via email or at school pick up & drop off.

Ladybug, Bumblebee and Dragonfly Student Arrival Time (NEW)
Class begins at 8:30 and morning arrivals are from 8:15 – 8:30. Please pull through the driveway and a staff member will greet your student. Arrivals end at 8:30. Dismissals for full day students are from 2:30-2:45. Please pull through the parking lot and a staff member will put your student in your car. When leaving the parking lot please exit right. We appreciate your support of having your student in their classroom on time and your cooperation.

Elementary Arrivals and Dismissals
Class begins at 8:30 and morning arrivals are from 8:15-8:30. All elementary students should be dropped off curbside. If the curb is full please come through the parking lot. This will assist with blocking the driveway as well as traffic on Monte Vista Road. Dismissals are from 3:00-3:15. Eagle students dismiss from the parking lot and Owl students from curbside. If the curb or parking lot is full, use the alternative. We appreciate your cooperation.

CMS ParentsWeb Directory – Updates Due Today!
Our ParentsWeb Directory lists name, address, home phone, cell phone, and email address of each family individual, available only to CMS families in the family portal.

If there is any information you would like to have omitted from the parent directory in the family portal, please adjust your preferences by following these steps.
• Log into your Parent Portal
• From the left-hand menu select Family – Family Home
• Click on Custodial Parent Form
• Scroll to the bottom under Parent Preferences:
Any information you want to be omitted, click on the directory block next to that information item – once your preferences are selected click save

Returning CMS families: your preferences will remain the same based on how they were set from the prior year.

The parent directory will become available to CMS families on Monday, Aug 26, 2024

NEW CMS Referral Incentive Program
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for some family incentives for sharing your CMS experience with other families and friends. Starting this school year, when a CMS family refers a new family who enrolls, they will have the opportunity to have their service hours met. You can also earn a $300 tuition credit for the second referral and a $100 tuition credit for all subsequent enrollment referrals.

✔️ Acchhhooooo!!! 🤧 Please do not send your student to school with symptoms or if they are not feeling well 🤒 If your student has a fever, is vomiting, has diarrhea or is on an antibiotic they may not return to school for 24 hours and must be symptom free.

Please have your child stay at home for the following:
• Runny noses
• Wet cough
• Vomiting – Students need to be vomit free for 24 hours (without medication)
• Fever – Students need to be fever free for 24 hours (without medication)
• Tired/Not feeling 100% – We want our students to feel well while at school
• Diarrhea – Students need to be diarrhea free for 24 hours (without medication)

Please stay in your cars 🚙 and wait for a teacher to come to get your student to ensure the safety of our students and prevent traffic on Monte Vista Road.

Elementary Student Morning Drop Off (1st -5th Level Students)
When: 8:15am – 8:30am
Where: Curbside – If there is no room on the curb please pull into the parking lot to avoid backing up the traffic on Monte Vista Road. Please stop 🛑 at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward.

+ Drive through to the parking lot
+ Please stop 🛑 at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward
+ Your student will be marked “tardy”

Early Childhood Students (Ladybug, Bumblebee & Dragonfly Students)

Where: Two Lanes in Parking Lot. Please stop 🛑 at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward.

+ Please do not get out of your car, your teacher will take your student from the car
+ Please take a right hand turn only out of parking lot ➡️

Those with Early Childhood AND Elementary Students
When: 8:15am – 8:30am
Where: Curbside – unless it is full then use lane 2 or 3 for drop-off. Please stop 🛑 at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward.

✌️👋🏻 DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Half Day Dismissals
When: 12:30pm
Where: Please pull up in front of the office. Walk to the front office gate to pick up your student.

Early Childhood Students (Ladybug, Bumblebee & Dragonfly Students)
When: 2:30 – 2:45pm
Where: Please use 2 lanes and stop at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward and your student will be brought out to you.

+ If the parking lot is full please use the curb and your student will be taken to you.

Elementary Students (1st -5th Level Students)
When: 3:00pm – 3:15pm
Where:
+ 1st-3rd level students will be dismissed in the parking lot using 2 lanes.
+ 4th and 5th level students will be dismissed from the curb
Please stop 🛑 at the crosswalk and wait to be moved forward.

Those with Early Childhood AND Elementary Students
When: 3:00pm
Where: Follow the Elementary student pick up procedure

MORNING & AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE

Morning Child Care
When: Every morning from 7:30-8:00am
Where:
1.) Park your car in a parking spot and wait outside the front gate with your child
2.) A teacher will greet you at the gate.
3.) *Parents using morning child care should be at the gate with their student no later than 8:00am.
4.) The teachers from all classrooms get their students from child care and escort them to their classrooms at that time.

* Families arriving at 8:00am will not be admitted and need to join the arrival line for 8:15 arrivals.

After School Child Care
When: 2:45pm – 6:00pm
Where: Please park your car in a parking spot and go to the child care gate and your child will be brought to you.

Reminders

📝 Please Sign In and Sign Out every day when you pick up and drop off through the CMS App. Click HERE to get the CMS app and use the Daily Sign-In or Daily Sign-Out when you pick up and drop off from school.

🕰️ Attendance & Tardiness – All students should be in class by 8:30am.
+ Daily attendance is taken each morning and recorded.
+ Absences and tardies will be reflected on the students report card and we discourage excessive tardiness and absences.

⏰ Late Arrival Procedures
1.) If your student arrives late to school, you need to park and accompany them and wait outside the office in the enclosed area.
2.) Administration will take all tardy students to class

🅿️ Parking – For visitor parking please use the spots in front of the school. The parking spots located by the dumpster are reserved for employee parking.

🤕 Head Injury Policy – In the event of an injury above the neck;
1.) CMS calls the student’s parents to inform them of the incident
2.) Parents may be required to come to the school and check out the student
3.) The student is monitored until the parent comes to school. If the staff member notices any changes to the student’s condition, 911 will be called and the parent is immediately called to let them know.
4.) Upon arrival of the parent, a decision is made to take the student home or leave them at school.
