Parent Education Night – Thank You
Thank you to all of our families and staff who joined us. It was a successful evening with information-filled presentations from our classroom and enrichment teachers. Our next parent education night will be Moving Up Night in early spring.
Halloween Carnival
Mark your calendars for the CMS Halloween Carnival on Saturday October 26 from 11am-1pm. This event is for the whole family! There will be bouncy houses, a cake walk, haunted house and carnival games for all to enjoy. CMS Safety!
We regularly practice safety drills to prepare our students and staff for emergencies! Last Friday, we conducted our, bi-annual earthquake drill, where both students and staff practiced the latest safety guidelines. This Wednesday, we followed up with our monthly fire drill.

Signing Your Early Childhood Student In and Out

CMS Annual Walk-a-thon
We are very excited to have our families come and support all the students in our first school Fundraiser of the year! The Walk-a-thon theme this year is Superhero! Today, your student(s) will come home with more information and a pledge sheet!
Mark your calendars! On November 13th, we will start with Early Childhood at 9:30 am, and Elementary at 10:30 am. Each will run for approximately 20 minutes.
This school year, we are prioritizing fundraising efforts to enhance outdoor security, invest in our play areas, and update the fencing around the school’s perimeter. Join in making our school safe and more secure!

We use FundHub (Get Movin’ Fundraising) to manage all our Walk-a-thon donations. Each family will need to register their child(ren) at Get Movin’ Fund Hub. Select register as a parent. Fill out your contact information; our school code (school identifier) is auto-populated when you use the hyperlinks. Once registered, you can customize your individual fundraising page by adding personalized messages, pictures, or a fun video. Use the Family Share option to share multiple student pages through a single message. Donations can be made by credit card directly through the student Walk-a-thon page. Check, cash, and Venmo donations are also accepted and can be turned in directly to the CMS office. We hope that every family will participate and share their student pages. Also, you might be able to double your donation! Check to see if your employer will match your contribution!

Parent-Teacher Conferences
November 7th & 8th are parent-teacher conferences. This is a special time to meet with your teachers and hear about their school experience. Report cards will be available on November 6th at 3 pm on your parent portal. If your conference is before that date, you will receive an email with your student’s report card before your meeting.
November 7th & 8th Parent-Teacher Conferences – No School Child Care Available
Thursday & Friday child care is available 7:30am-6pm. Deadline to sign up is, Friday, November 1st. Please let Susan at susank@countrymontessori.org know if you would like to sign up. Full-day $50. Please note that arrival times remain the same, with 7:30-8:30 being the window for drop off. Due to scheduling and staffing – drop in’s are not allowed. Unlimited Child care does not apply on Conference days.

Ladybug, Bumblebee and Dragonfly Student Arrival Time
Class begins at 8:30 and morning arrivals are from 8:15 – 8:30. Please pull through the driveway and a staff member will greet your student. Arrivals end at 8:30. Dismissals for full day students are from 2:30-2:45. Please pull through the parking lot and a staff member will put your student in your car. When leaving the parking lot please exit right. We appreciate your support of having your student in their classroom on time and your cooperation.
Elementary Arrivals and Dismissals
Class begins at 8:30 and morning arrivals are from 8:15-8:30. All elementary students should be dropped off curbside. If the curb is full please come through the parking lot. This will assist with blocking the driveway as well as traffic on Monte Vista Road. Dismissals are from 3:00-3:15. Eagle students dismiss from the parking lot and Owl students from curbside. If the curb or parking lot is full, use the alternative. We appreciate your cooperation.

NEW CMS Referral Incentive Program
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for some family incentives for sharing your CMS experience with other families and friends. Starting this school year, when a CMS family refers a new family who enrolls, they will have the opportunity to have their service hours met. You can also earn a $300 tuition credit for the second referral and a $100 tuition credit for all subsequent enrollment referrals.

✔️ Acchhhooooo!!! 🤧 Please do not send your student to school with symptoms or if they are not feeling well 🤒 If your student has a fever, is vomiting, has diarrhea or is on an antibiotic they may not return to school for 24 hours and must be symptom free.
Please have your child stay at home for the following:
Runny noses
Wet cough
Vomiting – Students need to be vomit free for 24 hours (without medication)
Fever – Students need to be fever free for 24 hours (without medication)
Tired/Not feeling 100% – We want our students to feel well while at school
Diarrhea – Students need to be diarrhea free for 24 hours (without medication)

Arrivals & Dismissals
🛝 MORNING & AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE
Morning Child Care
When: Every morning from 7:30-8:00am
Where:
1.) Park your car in a parking spot and wait outside the front gate with your child
2.) A teacher will greet you at the gate.
3.) *Parents using morning child care should be at the gate with their student no later than 8:00am.
4.) The teachers from all classrooms get their students from child care and escort them to their classrooms at that time.
* Families arriving at 8:00am will not be admitted and need to join the arrival line for 8:15 arrivals.
After School Child Care
When: 2:45pm – 6:00pm
Where: Please park your car in a parking spot and go to the child care gate and your child will be brought to you.

📝 Please Sign In and Sign Out every day when you pick up and drop off through the CMS App. Click HERE to get the CMS app and use the Daily Sign-In or Daily Sign-Out when you pick up and drop off from school.
🕰️ Attendance & Tardiness – All students should be in class by 8:30am.
+ Daily attendance is taken each morning and recorded.
+ Absences and tardies will be reflected on the students report card and we discourage excessive tardiness and absences.
⏰ Late Arrival Procedures
1.) If your student arrives late to school, you need to park and accompany them and wait outside the office in the enclosed area.
2.) Administration will take all tardy students to class
🅿️ Parking – For visitor parking please use the spots in front of the school. The parking spots located by the dumpster are reserved for employee parking.

🤕 Head Injury Policy – In the event of an injury above the neck;
1.) CMS calls the student’s parents to inform them of the incident
2.) Parents may be required to come to the school and check out the student
3.) The student is monitored until the parent comes to school. If the staff member notices any changes to the student’s condition, 911 will be called and the parent is immediately called to let them know.
4.) Upon arrival of the parent, a decision is made to take the student home or leave them at school.
